Prayer Request

We believe in the power of prayer!

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and   petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”    -Philippians 4:6-7

Youth Director: Susie Bonner

Christ’s Crew Youth Group:

Christ’s Crew is open to all youth Grades 6th through 12th. A variety of opportunities are available for the youth in service and worship throughout the year.

During the School Year

Christ’s Crew youth meets weekly on Tuesdays after school from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Transportation is provided from the local schools. Youth enjoy life application Bible studies, fellowship, and snacks during the weekly meetings. Mission and service projects, as well as fun days, are scheduled throughout the year.

Our lessons from the new “Ministry to Youth” curriculum are focused on Honor for the next 6 weeks.

Service Opportunities: Christ’s Crew Youth are very service oriented. At least twice a year, youth (and others who wish to go) participate in mission trips. In the past, our students have gone to Eagle Pass and worked with Mission Border Hope to better help the underprivileged through home repair, leading Vacation Bible School, helping in the food pantry and at the literacy center, as well as providing Christmas gifts. Most recently (in August) the youth went to Victoria, TX to help with recovery efforts after Hurricane Harvey. They rebuilt houses, including knocking out sheet rock and painting.

Fund Raising for Missions: Throughout the year, youth participate in various fund-raising activities to help support mission trips, fun days and camp. The youth usually organize one major fundraiser during the year. Other fund raising may include car washes and bake sales.

School Breaks and Summer Special Events: Events include overnight lock-ins, mission trips, New Year’s Eve Watch Night Extravaganza, Easter Sunrise Worship and Summer Fun Days (or nights). Christ’s Crew Youth have service opportunities to help with Children’s Summer Camps and Vacation Bible School.
