St. Paul’s Quilters meet each Tuesday at 9 AM to cut, piece, iron and sew quilts for youth programs in the Hill Country

In the past 20 years, our Quilters have made more 500 quilts for youth programs in the Hill Country.  The current recipients are boys at the 3-H Ranch who must first earn and then may keep the quilts as their own.

Some of our global mission support has included direct contributions to several missionaries, the United Methodist Committee on Relief, Society of St. Andrew Hunger Relief, Health and First Aid Kits to immigrant detainees and various clothing drives.

Locally, some of St. Paul’s outreach recipients include:  Christian Assistance Ministry, Hill Country Cares, Salvation Army, Signs of Hope, and  others.  We more recently have been involved in reaching out to those who walk and jog at the Elm Creek Park by providing them with bottled water. In addition, our monthly emphasis allows for special altar rail offerings to support a variety of charitable organizations.

In addition to our numerous missions supported as a church, our Christ Crew youth group is a very service oriented youth group. They do various fundraising such as a bake sale to raise money for the UMCOR flood buckets to help those affected by flooding in Sonora, TX and in the Carolinas after Hurricane Florence. They continue to help with rebuilding efforts from Hurricane Harvey by doing 1-2 mission trips a year to help rebuild houses in the affected areas. Their summer mission trip for 2019 is to Eagle Pass to put together bunk beds made by the youth and mission committee. They will also do a 2 day mini VBS for the local children's center while in Eagle Pass.
